Due to the extensive gulf, Dubai Marina has been named as “Arabian Venice.” Several towers, hotels, and restaurants can be found in this upscale neighbourhood of Dubai. It is among the smallest areas of Dubai, with a total area of around four square kilometres. However, Dubai Marina is one of the most developed and crowded location in Dubai.
This centrally located area is also close to the most famous attractions in the city, including The Palm Jumeirah Beach. The Marina is renowned for its luxurious lifestyle, with more than 200 luxury residential towers and many hotels and serviced apartments. It is a great place to spend a relaxing night, catching some sun on the beach, or simply dining and drinking.
Although there are plenty of nurseries in the neighbourhood, children may not get to school on time, particularly during peak hours. Families with children may not find this area to be the best choice, though. It is a great place for young couples who enjoy a fast-paced lifestyle, but parents with children may find the busy streets and abundant nightlife uninviting. In such a case, the area is best suited to those who do not have children.
If you are looking for a great place to shop, Dubai Marina has several shopping malls. The Dubai Marina Mall, which is 390,000 square feet, offers 130 retail stores and 20 restaurants. In addition to retail spaces, there are also Waitrose supermarkets and a cinema. The Marina Walk has a few smaller shops, including a Marks & Spencer food hall and Spinneys. There are also plenty of kitschy souvenir stalls along the boardwalk.
There are two beaches near the Marina – The Beach and Palm Jumeirah Beach Residence. These are both great places to visit with your family. These are also kid-friendly, and feature cabanas, beach volleyball, and water sports.
There are numerous activities in the Marina, which are perfect for families with children. Jumeirah Beach Residence is a popular waterfront area, and is home to several luxury hotels and restaurants. Guests will enjoy an open-air cinema every weekend, and the area also has several shopping malls.
For the ultimate cosmopolitan lifestyle, visit Dubai Marina. Located about 30 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this neighborhood is close to the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall, the Burj Khalifa, and the Wild Wadi Waterpark. It’s also close to the city of Abu Dhabi, which is over an hour away. If you want a quick getaway from the bustling metropolis of the city, the Marina is the perfect place to stay.
