Cityscape is the MENA’s largest and one of the most influential real estate events that connect potential investors, property buyers and industry professionals exhibiting a range of real estate projects. The 22nd edition of Cityscape Dubai was officially opened on November 21, by His Excellency Dawoud Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality.
The real estate exhibition is held at Dubai World Trade Centre and runs till November 23, where countless new real estate projects are being exhibited from top development companies including Sobha Realty, Azizi Developments, ARADA, DAMAC and Dubai Investment, to name a few.
Cityscape focuses to propel Dubai real estate market
This year proved to be highly successful for Dubai real estate in terms of demand, price and number of transactions, where international property buyers remained the most significant participants. This flagship event intends to pivot to local, private, and individual residential and commercial property buyers and estate agents in Dubai to further boost the currently promising real estate market. Therefore, the prime focus of the 22nd edition of Cityscape Intelligence Talks series is Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which is a key to bringing ideas to life and the sustainability agenda of the emirate.
The purpose of this strategy shift is to continue increasing the value and the numbers of Dubai real estate sector transactions, which was closed at AED300 billion in 2021 – amongst challenges posed by the global pandemic. Alex Heuff, Exhibitions Director at Cityscape Dubai said, “Buying a home, especially your first, is a big moment – and it is clear more and more people are living that moment in Dubai.”
“With a fresh approach to this year’s edition, we will provide practical support to help home buyers make informed decisions courtesy of the expert financial and home buying advisors that will be present to offer professional advice. With some of the region’s leading real estate developers already signed up, we will showcase the latest projects – both off-plan and ready-to-live – that are ready to purchase there and then,” he stated further.
Cityscape Talks dives into role of sustainability and technology on Dubai real estate
The 22nd edition of Cityscape Talks also started with a discussion on the future of Expo City Dubai, where Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer at Expo City Dubai, shared about the re-branding of the development and how stability remained the key driver of the site, when it was redesigned into Expo City 2020, earlier this year.
“What we achieved was a first for Dubai real estate and the region and I believe is something that can be used as a blueprint for future projects. Throughout, we were both active and transparent on how we aimed to deliver on our sustainability promises, with regular reports being released on how we integrated sustainability into Expo City Dubai’s development. Technology and data also played a huge part in the development, with data analysis of previous projects helping us identify how to deliver the 42 individual projects that make up Expo City Dubai,” said Al Khatib.
A panel discussion was also with Hamza Betraoui, Managing Director, Land Sterling; Mohamed Shawky, CEO, Gis Drones; and Henrique Pereira, CEO, Taka Solutions on how technology is playing a crucial role in improving Dubai real estate sector, sustainability standards and work efficiency in the developments.

Dubai remains a hub for real estate finance
Dubai real estate is always termed as a viable investment option and also regarded as a home to real estate finance. Now, when the government has announced unprecedented facilities and countless new opportunities to be a long-term resident in Dubai through new Golden Visa programmes and business set-up options, the market has become more attractive for investors belonging to all nationalities. This flagship event will continue its focus on plans that can propel the city’s surging property market.
